Faro – Algarve
The district of Faro limits to the north with Beja, to the east with Spain and to the south and west with the Atlantic Ocean.
It is known as the capital of the Algarve.
It occupies all the south of Portugal, and is characterized by its fantastic beaches of golden sand, crystalline and temperate waters and its wonderful caves.
If we look at the Algarve on the map and divide it into two parts, we would say that the part that borders Spain may be the best to go with children and family, as its waters are quite calm.
Of the second half, limiting and more with the Atlantic Ocean, its waters are colder and braver, and although for beauty, they are even superior to those of the first zone, this second zone is usually frequented by surfers.
The district of Faro is subdivided into the following 16 municipalities:
- Castro Marim
- São Brás de Alportel
- Vila do Bispo
- Vila Real de Santo António
Among all, the best known are perhaps Albufeira, Faro, Portimao, Tavira, although the whole Algarve has an immeasurable beauty.
